Georges Hall Public School has a large modern library. It contains valuable resources to support the curriculum for both teachers and students. Miss Partington and Mrs Hamilton are the two teacher-librarians who staff the library.

Students are encouraged to borrow during library class time and at lunchtimes Monday to Thursday (second lunch). It is important that students have a cotton library bag before they borrow books, as this will minimise accidental damage to this valuable resource. Library bags can be purchased from the school canteen at a cost of $4.

The library is divided into the following areas:

  •  Picture Books section (Quarto Junior)

  •  Junior Fiction

  •  Senior Fiction

  •  Non- Fiction

  •  Premier's Reading Challenge

  •  Reference

  •  Computers (2nd Computer lab in the school

  •  Teacher Reference- including book and tape sets, posters, videos, DVDs and computer programs

  •  Italian, RFF and ESL Offices
