School Uniform
is compulsory at Georges Hall Public School. This was voted on at a public
meeting and has the school community’s overwhelming support. Our uniform as
well as being attractive, is comfortable, practical and easy-care. We are
lucky enough to have our own Uniform Shop located in the hall side of the
canteen which is run by our school P & C.
Our

Please
label all your child’s personal belongings clearly to make recovery as easy
as possible.
PSSA
Teams
Children in PSSA teams will need to wear the uniform appropriate for their
sport. Their coaches will inform them of the correct uniform. New uniforms
are purchased by the school when necessary and a deposit may be required for
using these uniforms.
As
these uniforms are expensive to purchase the co-operation of parents is
sought to ensure their safe-keeping and return at the end of the season.
Parents may be approached to pay for lost PSSA uniforms lent to their
children.
USED
CLOTHING POOL
We have a Used
Clothing Pool, which may be accessed by asking any of our friendly office
staff. When selecting your items we ask that you leave the Clothing Pool
tidy for the next person. Please pay the office staff for your purchases.
LOST
PROPERTY
Our Lost
Property is located in the hallway outside the staff room. At the end of
each term unclaimed items are laundered, sorted and either added to the
clothing pool or disposed of appropriately.
CHANGEOVER
FOR SUMMER /WINTER UNIFORM
Winter uniform
is worn from the start of term 2, while the changeover for the Summer
uniform is the start of term 4.
PLEASE
NOTE
In
the interest of sun protection our school has a “No Hat – No Play” policy.
This means
children not wearing a hat will be confined to the shaded areas of the
school during recess and lunchtime.
Joggers are
only to be worn on sports days.
Year six
students have their own special custom made uniform which identifies them as
the seniors of the school. This uniform is optional.
